Why can't I find my network lock files anymore?

P10 does not seem to be creating a pdoxusrs.lck (network lock file) anywhere
including the network directory on the server I am using. I am operating
winxp. The pdoxusrs.net file is there as expected, and is recreated on
startup if I erase it.

The reason I am asking is that it was always present with P7 before I
upgraded to P10, and now I am having networking issues and I think it may
relate to this since my .net file appears to be okay and set to the same
location for each workstation.

a pair of lock files will automatically be created in any shared folder that you
touch, that contains tables.. there will only be lock files in the net folder if
that folder contains tables you're using (bad idea), or if that folder was your
Priv folder (worse idea)..

What is your setting for local share in the BDE? It should be set to True.

If you are running XP or Win2000 you should also check the settings for
opportunistic locking in the register, search these groups or Microsoft site
for opportunistic locking.
